Kerwin Rae Review: Business Summit & Bootcamp Rated

I’m covering here Kerwin Rae and his live events/workshops for business owners in Australia. This Kerwin Rae review has no input from him or his team, and I’ll be particularly covering the Fast Growth Summit and Nail It and Scale It Bootcamp.

The K2 Elite Mastermind isn’t included here unfortunately, but you’ll find others out there who have done this one. Generally they share their experiences on Kerwin’s Facebook page.

My gratitude to you

Thank you for seeking out my blog and choosing to read my review on Kerwin Rae. I’ve been attending events like this for 10 years now, and have bought some excellent courses and found some great mentors. Of course – not all of them have been so great. As a result, my BS meter has become very calibrated.

Today I make 100% of my income on the internet. I’m not famous, with no Ferrari or private jet, but I do have the choices and freedom to live and work anywhere. My primary income is earned on Amazon US, whilst as an Australian, I reside here on the Gold Coast. I help a lot of people get started on the journey too!

My thoughts on Kerwin

Kerwin’s one of the best in the country. He’s a combination of Gary Vaynerchuk and Dale Beaumont. Kerwin is in his own league, so it’s hard to really compare him with anyone in the business consulting and mentoring world.

Through his videos, you do get a real sense of his anti-BS personality. He won’t take your shit, he just wants you to be honest. Especially with the numbers. The numbers should never lie. I share that same no BS philosophy right here, and I’ve been going since 2011.

Kerwin’s social media presence is immense, with more than 1 million likes on Facebook. Over 70 of my Australian friends like and follow him, including myself. His videos are captivating, and a right mix of both business skills and personal development. I think the vast majority will see the real business experience that Kerwin brings to the table.

Review on Kerwin’s events

Kerwin Rae runs a number of live events. Some are low cost events that run in the evening, whilst others run for several days. Yes – there’s an upsell at the low cost event, though Kerwin does pack the evening with content for actual business owners. Be prepared to take lots of notes!

If you don’t own a business, or if you’re in an MLM scheme, then Kerwin’s probably not the right person for you. He’s looking for actual business owners who own their own business (i.e. me) and are looking to scale and potentially exit for 7 figures. That’s the type of mentor I look for, and Kerwin’s got the results too.

Dale Beaumont is perhaps Kerwin’s closest competitor, though both gentlemen are different. Dale is purely business and marketing, especially lead generation, social media and process optimization. Kerwin is all of these things, plus mindset and personal development. It’s common for business owners to not only have a business shift with Kerwin, but also a mindset shift as well.

If there’s a downside to Kerwin, it’s the cost. He’s certainly not cheap. Not by a longshot. What he does have, however, is both results for himself, and for his existing students. There’s plenty of people who have invested despite the high price for his programs, and have really scaled their business even further.

Kerwin Rae’s negative reviews

I’ve noticed some negative reviews on Kerwin Rae, particularly ex-employees. It’s wise to remember that these are employees, those that typically hate their bosses anyway and are happy to burn bridges. Kerwin does push his staff to perform and stay motivated, as he does push his students as well. There’s very few dissatisfied business owners who have invested in Kerwin’s student-only Masterminds and workshops.

I don’t think you can possibly please everyone. There’s no one out there that has a 100% success rate, though Kerwin’s very close. I’m sure you’ve personally got some customers who, despite what you do, simply aren’t happy. It’s best to serve those who want to be served, and appreciate the immense effort that you provide.

Kerwin Rae and his Summits are excellent learning experiences

What I like most about Kerwin is that he shares a lot of his content for FREE. He runs a very active social media following, plus a YouTube channel and blog. You really do get a sense that after all of his giving, that you do want to at least attend a live conference to meet the man himself.

At the live events you’ll also get to network with other attendees. Some of Kerwin’s speakers are former students themselves that have gone through the training, and created significant changes in their business(es) and lives. I like this community-focused approach, instead of it all being about Kerwin and his training.

Summary of KR

Kerwin’s an excellent choice for most Australian small and medium sized business owners. Particularly it’s for those who are struggling to adapt to rapidly changing times, and are prepared to invest the capital. Through Kerwin, you’ll be empowered both in business and in life, and are likely to change your pathway going forward.

For you that could be scaling your existing offline business, or simply selling the business and moving on. I choose to earn 100% of my income online and enjoy the laptop lifestyle, hence why offline business opportunities simply don’t work for me.

Should this be of interest to you, I can provide you with FREE access to an excellent Amazon training course. It’s exactly where I got started, as have thousands of Australians looking to build a real online business, and it’s one without a huge capital requirement.

Do you have an experience with Kerwin Rae and desire to leave a review or feedback? If so – I’d love to hear from you. Be sure to leave a comment below. I also have excellent resources available right here on the blog, should you wish to explore further about who I am and what I do! 🙂

The Institute of Wow (John Dwyer) Reviewed

I’m covering here John Dwyer’s Institute of Wow based in Queensland, Australia. This review is based upon seeing a range of both offline and online business mentors, workshops and conferences over the last 10 years.

I don’t particularly have a fully offline business, though I know plenty of people that do. I choose to have a 100% online business so that I can literally work from anywhere. On the eCommerce side of things, I predominantly sell on Amazon working just 7 to 10 hours per week.

The review I’ll provide of The Institute of Wow has no input from John or his team. You’ll just get the facts around here, I’ve been running this blog since 2011. The perspective I’ll give will allow you to make an informed decision.

My thoughts on John Dywer

I first found John’s advertising cleverly promoted through Virgin Australia’s in-flight entertainment magazine, the advertisement with the Seinfield guy. I was somewhat surprised that I hadn’t heard of John previously, given my immense connections. That said – he’s an offline guy (mostly) and I’m an online guy, so that does make sense. I know just about everyone in the online space, particularly in Australia, NZ, the US and the UK.

John’s got some really creative strategies, that use both traditional offline and powerful online approaches. John’s focus is simply on bringing in more of the right clients and customers for your business. His life-long experience in the marketing game is impressive and he’s worked with some seriously big clients himself.

The Institute of Wow Review

John’s marketing educational company is certainly one of the best out there, with a decent stream of happy business owners who have left feedback. You’ll get the choice of learning online, and take it a step further with single day and multi-day workshops. The later is more recommended, so that you can delve in deeper and focus.

His company also provides a range of unique services. These include website makeovers, marketing materials and brand renovations. You can expect to have your business rejuvenated through John’s strategic ideas.

The Institute of Wow events are ideal for traditional business owners

What I like most is John’s no BS approach. It’s also what I share here on my blog, where I discuss how to start your own real online business and scale it to 6 figures, without ever picking up the phone. I have 2 phone calls per month…and that’s because my father doesn’t know how to text me. 🙂

If you’re the type of business owner who’s receiving calls from digital marketers every 5 minutes, then most of them actually know the same content that John teaches. Therefore, it would be wise to go along to a workshop, instead of paying an extravagant amount for your ‘marketing guy’ who probably doesn’t have that much experience running a real business anyway. John’s been in business most of his working life.

Positives to joining

There’s some great reasons to join, as I’ve recommended here:

  • Australian-specific concepts
  • Built for small business owners
  • A strong stream of positive feedback
  • Creative marketing strategies that actually work
  • Results. John has a good supply of excellent case studies
  • Free training. There’s a lot of powerful content on John’s website

Of course, I could go on for months in this review as to how excellent his training is. You’ll find more benefits on his website and feedback from other students.

Negatives to joining

No review is complete unless I can provide some room for improvement

  • 3 day workshops might eat into leisure time
  • It isn’t cheap, but nothing worth having comes easy
  • Minimal training on Instagram strategies (most students don’t use it anyway)

There really isn’t much else that’s a negative with John. He’s simply rock-solid. He’s really for the business owner who’s prepared to invest in themselves for the future, as times are changing very fast.

Alternatives to John Dwyer

There isn’t really that much else in the Australian marketplace to compare with John. The closest competitor that I could recommend is Dale Beaumont. Then again – Dale’s a younger all-round business guy where as John has decades of experience and is purely focused on marketing. If creative marketing (which generally leads to more sales) is your thing, then you’ll be fine with John. Dale does have free conferences too, which are run quite often.

Join the FREE Amazon course for beginners

If you’re looking to build a new business, one that you own but is much more scalable and significantly automated, then consider eCommerce. That’s my path – I do hundreds everyday through selling on Amazon, and it isn’t books that I sell either!

Summary

Most people established in their offline business will do well with John’s materials. Yes – he isn’t cheap, and effective marketing isn’t cheap anyway. But you’re choosing a mentor with RESULTS. And if that’s what you want, then John’s an ideal starting point.

Do you have an experience with John Dwyer? If so, feel free to share it below this review. I’d love to hear your comments about his marketing and educational company for small business owners. Your email address won’t be shared publicly.

Thanks for taking the time to read this too, I really appreciate it. Feel free to use some of the resources available right here on my blog. Of particular interest is the FREE Amazon guides that dozens of Australians have appreciated, all written with the beginner in mind. These are based upon my experiences working from home.

Inside Mark Rolton’s Property Options (Massland) Course / Seminar

This is my in-depth and objective review on Mark Rolton’s property development and investment strategy. Massland revolves around property options in the Australian marketplace. I’ve also previously done the now defunct CCorp (Carly Crutchfield) workshop which cost $6,000 and that was 9 years ago!

Background thoughts

Today I own a range of investment properties, but also, a range of digital investment properties. That is – I own some websites that generate an income, and I own some physical products which I sell online (without any packing / shipping) that also generate me an income. I’ve also renovated and developed property in the past, though I choose a much easier life today.

This blog started 8 years ago, and I’ve detailed my journey along the way. I help a lot of students get started as Amazon sellers, and you’ll be able to get FREE access to an excellent course on the right hand side. Thousands of people have started the journey already.

Mark Rolton’s course reviewed

Mark is a genuinely good guy, and his strategy can work. Over the years it has certainly worked well, with dozens of success stories. The people who have succeeded, have put in the time, energy and work required to get a deal across the line.

Mark Rolton and Massland Course
Mark Rolton’s course is good, though not sustainable in the current economic climate

You’ll find his course to be ideally suited for those who enjoy property investing and developments. The average student does have a winning mentality and is prepared to get into the trenches. Please only buy Mark’s course if you’re prepared to work hard, as this isn’t easy money.

Massland develops property and also on-sells Options to developers. You, as a student, will be helping them through this process. They run both free seminars and paid courses, and I assure you, they aren’t cheap.

You’ll be learning:

  • How to spot opportunities
  • Using watertight legal contracts
  • Working with vendors for a win-win
  • Identifying excellent development sites
  • Calculating feasibility assessments and profit margins
  • Building a number of joint-ventures over the long term
  • Finding small townhouse deals, to huge housing estate developments

Of course, there’s plenty more. The course goes into great deal on how to complete everything, step by step. Mark personally doesn’t mentor you through the journey, though his team can help at times. The live student-only conferences are excellent.

Does the Options strategy work?

It has in the past, in fact for several decades. It’s unlikely to work so well today. In the Australian property market, with prices in decline, it’s going to be difficult to offer a Vendor more money for their property in the future, when it’s actually going to be worth less anyway. Tough luck.

Plus, you don’t have to do Mark’s course to find a deal. You can find a property, get an Option on it (lawyer’s charge approximately $2,000 for this) and then on-sell to Massland or anyone else. Mark isn’t going to decline you just because you’re not a student, if the deal stacks up and there’s profit – then they’ll bite! That said….declining property market.

The strategy doesn’t actually work for most people, because they simply buy the course for the ‘feel good’ feeling. They’re not actually committed to the results, and the potential 6 figure profits in 2 to 3 years time. Life just gets in the way.

Summary of the property system

Mark’s system is valid, but the strategy is going to be very difficult in the coming financial storm and crashing property prices. I don’t know if Mark will even survive through this, either his educational company or his Massland development company. I hope he does, however, since he’s actually a genuinely cool guy!

Jump on board with the FREE Amazon course

I would highly recommend Amazon and building an online real estate portfolio. I live on the Gold Coast, export from China and sell in the US. Thousands of Australians are doing exactly this right now. I hope you’ll join me. There’s a FREE course that you can access right now, for which thousands of Australians have done.

In fact – many more people have done this course as opposed to Mark’s, because it’s cheaper and more effective. You can quite literally work from anywhere with a laptop and internet connection. I personally have 2 phone calls per month. Yes – per MONTH. I enjoy the solitude. 🙂

I look forward to seeing you on the other side…

Dymphna Boholt and iLoveRealEstate Review (Including Alternatives)

This review is going to cover Dymphna Boholt and her real estate training company called I Love Real Estate. I live in Australia, I own a few real estate investment properties and so this one comes based on experience.

My business and investment background

I’ve been running this blog since 2011. In that time, it’s really grown. I share my thoughts and experiences with different programs, tools, apps and software. I also provide some excellent FREE resources that you can use.

Today I own a range of investment properties. These aren’t performing so well, since real estate isn’t really a strong performer. I also own a few online businesses, of which the returns are phenomenal! I have been able to achieve the 4 Hour Work Week, though admittedly, I was very bored. 🙂

Dymphna Boholt Review

So let’s get into Dymphna. Is she worth your time? What’s her experience? Is her iLoveRealEstate company any good? Good questions my friend, and I’m glad you’re doing your research here.

The iLoveRealEstate seminar in action
Dymphna’s seminars feature guest investment property speakers

Dymphna’s had some excellent success with property investing. Through the booming years, just about everyone had success with property investing too. She’s decided to capitalize on her success, and run her property mentoring business to help others walk in her shoes, and hopefully, enjoy the same results.

Unfortunately, she’s also had her reputation tarnished a little. This is through her bad recommendations on mining towns, and exaggerated claims on income potential. There are a few unhappy students across Australia.

Dymphna Boholt Fined

Following on from her exaggerated claims, Dymphna did get fined $15,000 for not-so-accurate claims. That was direct from the Queensland Fair Trading Commission. I’m glad that the government took that step forward!

Dymphna Boholt Fined
Dymphna has made dubious claims regarding property investment

Her claims can be found on a range of websites if you’re after further information. The most accurate information can be found here, directly on the Queensland Government website.

It appears that Dymphna has been running these mentoring gigs since 2005 as well! Naturally, lots of people made money in property during the booming years. And there’s lots of other people with knowledge on the Australian property market as well.

With that said, however, Dymphna Boholt has produced an excellent video addressing this, with a full apology. I love this – she’s really owned up to her mistakes, and it’s made her more solid as a property mentor and stage presenter. I wish others would take this same approach, instead of brushing things under the carpet.

Alternatives to iLoveRealEstate

There’s a range of property mentors in the marketplace. They will teach you such things as:

  • How to find the right property with growth and cash flow potential
  • Obtaining substantial discounts on properties across Australia
  • Sourcing investment properties without going through agents
  • Building your property portfolio over the next 20+ years for retirement

My personal favourite is the young Nathan Birch. He’s someone who I’ve seen grow from just a few properties, to a MASSIVE portfolio and his now substantial net-worth.

That said, Nathan does have somewhat of a bad reputation too. This is primarily due to his mis-management, which is typical when you have a portfolio of approximately 100 properties.

Building a Real Cashflow Machine

In this market, I’d be looking at an alternative cashflow machine. That isn’t property, as we’re in Australia’s biggest ever property price crash. You really need something that can weather this storm, where there’s going to be blood on the streets.

I’m a personal fan of online income. In fact, today, I make 100% of my income on the internet. Thousands of Australians are doing the same! There’s room for plenty more. I help people start their own eCommerce businesses, especially through the resources available here.

You can use this page as a starting point: https://www.workwithjoshua.com/resources

Many people have found that one useful!

Summary of Dymphna Boholt

Her introductory seminar is reasonably good, however you’ll be hit with some sales pitches, and purchasing is optional. Once you join her basic course, you’ll be hit another sales pitch for mentoring once again. Most of her information can be learned from a book, or a few books. There’s quite a few on the market.

Yet, I would still recommend you go along. After all, Dymphna boholt runs free events across Australia. From this, you can draw your own perspective. Certainly be prepared to take lots of notes, because Dymphna can and does deliver big time!

An alternative to Dymphna Boholt
I’ve chosen the eCommerce route, where my income is significantly high!

If you’re looking to live the ‘Rich Dad’ dream, then it’s possible. I have the laptop lifestyle, and the income equivalent of 5 properties paid off. There’s a little bit of work to do everyday, but I certainly don’t mind at all! Certainly easier and quicker than property investing, but it does take some upfront work.

I hope to be of assistance to you in this journey. I’ll be here for the long-haul. I hope you’ll join me.

Onwards and upwards!
