This is my rating and review on TransferWise. Through this evaluation, I’ll give you the insights and observations as to whether you should use them for money transfer.

The key downside is that it takes a few days and resources to set up your account. You won’t be able to make a transfer in 5 minutes from now. This is apart of the ASIC regulations that they have to follow.
Another thing to note is that you’ll have to provide some documentation and information regarding what your account is for. If you’re an online seller (or prospective seller), detail what you actually sell online. I know this can be a little awkward, as we want to not disclose what we sell, but at the same time, it’s a government requirement for them to ask you, and that you tell the truth.
Why I avoid the banks
I build successful online businesses, and a large chunk of that is selling on popular marketplace platforms. The 9 to 5 plan is fast becoming more and more redundant, and there’s a big push towards online income where the earning potential is far superior. Personally, in my early 30’s, my income is far superior than what I had ever expected. Plus, I’ve helped many people make their own start in this journey too.

The rates are very reasonable, and transfers are quite fast. A lot of their clientele are business owners just like myself.
