Performing some research on Excite Media in Brisbane? This review is completely unbiased and is based on my digital media and dealing with agencies.

Excite Media review: Should you go ahead?
That title is probably relates to the #1 question on your mind. Before I get into my own opinion on Excite Media, I’ll reveal the truth about the industry. Perhaps they’ve told you, or perhaps this is the first time you’ll discover this.
90% of digital marketing agencies have literally no idea. They use a churn and burn business model, and often have no vested interest in the outcome.
Literally most of them took a course last month, and have built perhaps 2 websites previously. Chances are that they’re for family members. Digital marketing has a very low barrier to entry, and some of you reading this can do 95% of their tasks yourself without too much effort. That is, if you have time to pull away from your business. Most businesses are time-heavy and don’t allow that level of freedom.
You’re probably being called multiple times weekly by such cowboys. They’re trying to claim that they’re the best, but are they? It’s hard to validate at times. Luckily Excite Media does have some great reviews available online. Also, unlike some other agencies, their focus is really on Queensland.
There’s some other things I liked, which include:
- 10 years experience in webdesign and full suite marketing
- Friendly team including Australian-based representatives
- Extensive portfolio of existing clients they’ve worked with
- Provide a full suite of services based upon business needs
- Very experienced and passionate team at the Excite helm
At the same time, given their staff size, I expect the pricing to be a little higher than perhaps some competitors. It’s often a case of getting what you pay for with digital marketing agencies. When I revealed that 90% of agencies have no idea (which is disappointingly true), you’ll find the bulk of these in the cheap end of town.
If results are what you’re after, then don’t choose cheap. Go for results.
Choosing a real freedom business
If you’re a business owner, then chances are that your time is very limited. Strangely enough, more time (and money) is why we all choose to get into business in the first place.
It wasn’t too long ago that I also struggled day to day with very little time. I had to find a way out of a very poor work-life balance. Luckily, I did find something….and it was very close to home!

There’s not too many digital marketing agencies I could recommend, but these guys do get my tick of approval. Especially as they’re quite local too.
I high recommending outsourcing elements of your business that you’re not highly skilled in, so you can focus on the more important things in life.
