Should You Really Use iDecorate? Read this first.

There is a growing digital marketplace for stylish, affordable home décor, and it’s called iDecorate (www.idecorateshop.com/). While researching different online décor stores, I came across iDecorate and was initially hesitant to purchase items outside Australia. Truth is, I’ve been too busy to drive to the nearest IKEA, so I’ve been resorting to online shopping. I was worried about receiving the items, and then feeling disappointed or duped. But as I explored the online iDecorate store, I realized how helpful and convenient their business is.

Their featured products are selected for their trendy artisanship and style, and are imported from countries all over the world. iDecorate décor ranges between, but is not limited to, bathroom rugs, plant terrariums, pillows, cushions, tea sets, bedding, kitchenware, urns, and paintings. iDecorate features a much more modern and elegant aesthetic compared to IKEA, for not only homes and apartments, but commercial spaces, weddings, showers, and special events. The company has provided interior design services for high-profile clientele, including HSBC, lifestyle companies like Quintessentially, and LUXE City Guides.

Their website features a blog that is regularly updated with photos and notes from Australian-born CEO, Shana Buchanan, who is based in Hong Kong where the heart of her store functions. The iDecorate blog is updated frequently and often discusses trendy (or not-so-trendy) décor, as well as their decorating endeavors for weddings, showers, or for other commercial spaces. Its Instagram page is frequently updated as well, and is always giving me new styling inspiration. The company’s social media presence stands out as a personable bridge between the store and its customers.

So why choose this personable business? As someone who isn’t much of a decorator, I want to know that those I am buying from truly care that I am making the right décor decisions. Like I said, I’ve been dreading having to drive out to IKEA since the privately owned décor shops around my home are just far too pricey. Once I reached out to iDecorate, asking them to explain their e-board and style board services, I learned that they offer interior decorating consultation and services. They help me pick out the best décor and I never have to leave my home! Plus, I received a reply in under 24 hours, and so far, keeping in touch with the iDecorate team has been hassle-free and productive!

As mentioned, enquiries are always welcome and received. If you are located outside Hong Kong, iDecorate provides free international shipping for orders that exceed $2000 HKD. Free shipping does not include heavyweight art and ceramic products, but the overall pricing for international shipment is fair. iDecorate was really helpful explaining shipment prices from Hong Kong to Australia, and so far my friends and I have been enjoying my new champagne flutes!
