Real Estate Gym Review: Is Tom Panos Worth It?

You’ve probably seen an advertisement recently regarding Tom Panos and his Real Estate Gym training program. Now you’re curious – should you do it?

Of course, there are many agents who are struggling right now. And a few are helping others with big promises.

In fact, the industry has been tarnished by some of these big-name marketers over the years. Those that promise million-dollar type of earnings.

I’ve seen it and I’m sure you’ve seen it too. It makes a bit challenging now to see who’s the real deal.

Today I’ll share my opinions on Tom’s training.

Real Estate Gym Review

This is Tom’s training platform for real estate agents across Australia. He’s not the only one out there but certainly one of the better trainers.

Here’s a look on the inside:

As you can see, plenty of training content and modules.

What I really liked about Tony is the results he has. You can quickly see other trainers who are a bit flaky in their approach.

In fact, he has an entire YouTube channel that’s worth watching. These are more casual style videos while the academy itself is where the meat and potatoes are.

Pros and cons

What I really liked is that:

  • He brings in big-name mentors on the inside, with names like John McGrath.
  • The training has more content regularly added, as opposed to ‘set and forget’
  • Plenty of scripts, templates and tools for newer agents to scale their agencies.
  • Monthly accountability calls with Tom and his panel of mentors. These are live.

But then, some little things caught my eye:

  • The pricing is higher than most are willing to pay. Then again, Tom only wants those seriously looking for results on board with his program.
  • His Real Estate Gym program is only open for short intervals. If you want to access today then you may have to wait a few months.

Really though, these are 1st world problems.

I did find a comical part actually. Check this out:

Your membership includes a hard-copy 12 month Real Estate Gym Success Journal of 100 pages that’s sent to you in the post. Shipping is only $9.95 to anywhere in Australia and $19.95 for the rest of the world.

For the price you pay, I’m sure Tom could’ve just sent these for free. 😅

The Tom Panos Advantage

What I really like about Tom is the testimonials he has. I can see some big names on his list:

  1. John McGrath (CEO McGrath Estate Agents)
  2. Brian White (Ray White Chairman)
  3. Marcus Chiminello (Marshall White Director)

He also has Mat Steinwede who also teaches real estate training. I find Mat to have more of a relaxing and subtle approach to training.

Tom Panos Course

Not only that but Tom has spoken at APEC just last year. It’s tough to get a speaking gig there so fantastic to see him speak in front of thousands in Brisbane.

Look, what’s most important is that you find the trainer that’s right for you. For many, that’s going to be Tom. For some, they might find more resonance with others.

Similarly, some people might find more joy in an online business model. One where you can work from home without the challenges of dealing with contracts falling over, frustrated owners and low-ball offers by first-home buyers.

That’s the type of business that I enjoy building today, knowing that the Australian economic outlook doesn’t look that attractive.

Real Estate Gym: In summary

I really like Tom’s approach to training and he clearly goes beyond what’s taught at real estate training colleges. It’s not just myself either as he has hundreds of students already.

The industry in the past has been tainted by some agent-trainers who were a bit, shall we say, over the top with their claims. For this reason, he’s refreshing to see someone like Tom coming fresh into the market, just keeping it real.

In my opinion, the best part is that you can learn plenty for free. He has a fantastic YouTube channel and established social media following.

From there you can decide if he’s the right fit for you.

It’s quite clear by now that he’s here for the long haul, much like myself as I started this blog in 2011.

And that in itself is the ingredient to success – do something for a long enough time frame and you’ll edge in front of 99% of competitors.
