World Ventures Business Opportunity in Australia And Here’s What You Need To Know

I’m here to WARN you that World Ventures is maybe not what you think it is. Read a realistic review about becoming a member in Australia with the world’s biggest travel club. I’ll be covering both the pros and cons of joining this MLM.

World Ventures began around a decade ago, entered Australia in 2014 and is a network marketing company that sells vacation/holiday club memberships as well as offering discounts on travel through Rovia which is its booking engine. Distributors/Representatives can earn themselves an income by selling these memberships to friends, family and others they can persuade to join.

It all begins with a few things. You’ll notice the ‘YOU SHOULD BE HERE‘ signs on social media and usually someone asking you to watch a video online or invite you to a ‘business opportunity’ presentation at a local hotel or friends house. You might even get a phone call from a family member or friend you haven’t heard from for a while telling you about this opportunity he/she has joined but mysteriously can’t tell much more as their time is limited. These are all strategies that the company and representatives teach to the members to help enroll more people.

There are numerous pros to joining. Firstly, you have the opportunity to begin making a passive income that otherwise would be out of reach to most people (especially with property prices today). I will state that the amount of this passive income will be minimal for a very long time until you can finally ditch the day job and I’ll cover more on this later. You can also begin taking vacations called ‘DreamTrips’ with friends and family for less than the typical cost. Be sure though to look to see if you can actually get a better deal elsewhere, as I know people who have. I really can’t think of any other pros than making a side income and taking some discounted holidays.

On the downside, you’ll have to pay about $400 USD ($600 Australian) to join. Further more, there’s a fee of $60 USD/month to remain a member which goes towards offsetting your travel a little which accumulates as DreamTrip points. You will also need to hassle your friends, family and those who you come across if you intend to build your side income by showing them the presentation. The income will be seriously low for a long time, and I’d be aiming at 3 to 5 years before you can quit your job or existing business. This might not be what you wanted to hear, what your mate said or what the trainers are teaching you, but this is a realistic view to avoid disappointment down the track.

Now here’s the biggest downside, directly from the 2014 Income Disclosure Statement (search Google for ‘World Ventures Income Disclosure Statement’). Let’s use $40,000 USD ($60,000 AUD) as our full-time income. It states that 0.09% of people ever made at least $45,000 USD per year! This means approximately for every 1,000 people who join, only 1 will make a full-time income, and 80% of people make nothing. Insane! You won’t hear a word of this full time income stats from anyone within the business, if you did after all there would be a mass let down and walkout.

World Ventures Australia Review - A Potential Scam
Of the approximately 20% that do make money, the average income is $1,116.12 USD, minus the $60/month or $720 USD per year. That’s less than $400/year!

Now you know what’s more crazy? I’m actually a member. Wait, what? Yep! And I’m not here to enroll you. The person who showed you that video can, that is if you’re still interested by the end of reading this post. I’m still apart of World Ventures for the travel rewards (and to tell you the truth, I really just break even). I don’t believe the business side of things has enough power to truly make a full-time income unless you’re prepared for a serious amount of work. If you look at the leaders within the business, almost all of them had a business or two established already, so they had the cash-flow behind them in order to begin traveling and build their World Ventures business. This is a massive hurdle to your success if you do not have this established and you’re beginning from zero.

Those Australians who love World Ventures and those who hate it will both agree that it takes a lot of work to create a business. I believe you certainly can create a full-time income with WV and begin to travel the world and have your business on the beach. It’s just that you have to be realistic: the chances of hitting full-time are 1 in 1,000, you’re looking at a 3 to 5 year time-frame and many people will say “No thanks!”. And if you run out of friends and family to prospect, then the challenge becomes even more difficult.

This unfortunately is the issue with MLM and I believe it’s progressively becoming more challenging as the years roll on. Just about everyone has been prospected by an MLM recruiter now (companies such as Amway, ACN, Herbalife come to mind) and the trust level has dropped. Now do believe that creating a passive income in 2016 and beyond is absolutely necessary, and this is why I recommend having your own internet based business where you’re not relying on other people to build a business for you.

What has your experiences been with World Ventures Australia? Please mention below so that everyone can get a realistic viewpoint. I’m thinking at this point that it’s quite likely that I’ll see two extremes: the lovers and the haters.
