Robert Kiyosaki and the Rich Dad series changed my life – here’s why!

Robert Kiyosaki got international acclaim with his work over the Rich Dad series! It is a series that maps both Rich and Poor people’s reactions towards a common scenario. Therefore, studying the rich behavior gives us a better understanding towards the psyche of becoming successful! Interestingly, going through Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad series left a lot of good changes to my life! I am forever thankful to the author for writing these lines in such a way that they completely transform people.

Here are some of the lessons that this book taught me for my life….

Rich Don’t Work For Money
Upon coming to school, all of us think that the ultimate recipe of becoming wealthy is to work for huge bucks. However, that is not the case in the reality. In the reality, Kiyosaki argues that the rich people are not actually working for the money. Instead, they are making the money work for them! Let’s elaborate it through a study. People from lower and middle class families tend to look for jobs and agree on a sound monthly pay. However, not much of us realize that this monthly pay is the requirement to start a business like the one they’re working in.

On the other hand, a rich person knows about the value of skill. As much as he invests in his business, he invests in its resources too. So, he has actually hired a potential competitor to do his work for him. And even more surprisingly, his potential competitor is earning him handsome revenue for his work! So, in simple terms, the poor person thinks about selling a service, whereas a rich person will think about selling an image!

The Rich Know How to Invent Money
Another highly important lesson that Kiyosaki had in his book was that the rich know how to invent money. Now, this might look like a joke to most of us in the start. However, the science behind it shocked me to my spine! Now, it is your turn to experience this feeling…
Imagine a university where people are into good food. Suddenly, one day on the notice board, a notice comes up saying that a festival is coming up! For a typical middle-class student, it would be an opportunity to sell some food. However, to a rich person, there would be an opportunity of more! A rich person might get a sponsorship for his stall and might not even get near the concept of selling the food. Instead, he would think that universities are work spaces and students rely upon stationery. So, he might come up with a stationary stall, with some market leading company covering up for his expenses.

Now, compare it with your first thought about opening a stall. Who lost and who won?
This is the way how rich invent money. They don’t use the one they have stacked up as investment until really necessary. Instead, they circumnavigate around this procedure while bringing class along the way.

Rich Work for Knowledge, Not for Money
Kiyosaki also explained the importance of knowledge as a product and as an asset. Now, consider the same university students from the above example. Upon the completion of the degree, what will the middle-class student try to do? Obviously, he will put up the available for hire board everywhere he goes and will never even look towards the possibility of taking a risk. At this point, we should note that both of the levels of skill are same.

On the other hand, the rich student might open a small office and try to implement his skills in the way of a business. Eventually, as time would pass by. The middle-class student will still be an employee (he might be a manager in his company) but the rich student will be the CEO by then!
Therefore, work for knowledge and not for money. And if money is the priority for you, then studying skills is not your thing.

Final Verdict
Rich Dad series by Robert Kiyosaki is a definite eye-opener for many. There are a lot of positive remarks that this series has piled up overtime, making it one of the most globally acclaimed success guides. When I first started to study this book, I had to shift my own modes of exploiting my resources and their purposes. However, out of my college batch, I am the only one who is making money and operates a company.

So, I would recommend Rich Dad Series to everyone, especially students who are about to graduate. This will be a lifetime shift of gears for you. And, looking back at today, you will definitely smile!
