Mat Steinwede Review: Are His Trainings Any Good?

There are many real estate agents in Australia, but so few offering training like Mat Steinwede. The question is though: Is it worth attending?

Since if you’ve been around real estate for long enough, you know the process is simple. Then again, why do so many agents struggle to make it through?

So I’ve written an independent review of Mat Steinwede and his Agent School program, plus I’ll touch on his drugs story and criminal past.

Let’s begin.

Mat Steinwede Review

In my opinion, Mat is a fantastic coach. He’s not for everyone, but for those he works with, are often providing testimonials for his services.

He’s become the #1 agent in McGrath Central Coast not too long ago. It can be a competitive market on the Coast, so props to Mat for reaching the top spot.

The secret to Mat’s success seems to come from having experienced a lot of adversity in the past, paired with playing a long game. He’s been in the industry now for 20 years.

In my experience, practise your craft consistently and ethically, on a long enough time scale, and you’ll find your way to the top. This agent has clearly done so.

But then, to be fair, he isn’t for everyone. Property owners with below market average properties aren’t really his niche, same with agents that aren’t motivated to crack the 6 figure range.

And then there are those who refer to his past drug problem from many decades ago, despite the fact that he’s turned his life around. It’s hard to please everyone.

What’s clearly evident is that Mat isn’t just coaching, unlike some ‘gurus’ out there. He’s still very much in the industry, both as an agency owner and agent.

Agent School program

Mat runs his Agent School training platform for new and experienced real estate agents across Australia. This is paired with live bootcamps and training for his coaching students.

Is it good? It’s extremely good actually. Included is:

  • The premier Agent School 12-week program
  • The Classroom which is an optional add-on
  • Negotiation Masterclass which is another add-on

Most agents will do best by starting with Agent School before moving on.

The pricing for Agent School is incredibly cheap at just $795 for life. For a program of this calibre, I was expecting $2,000+. 😲 Quite surprising actually, since that’s what these programs generally cost.

If you’re looking for The Classroom where you get group coaching from Mat, then that’s just $20 per week which you can cancel at any time. There aren’t that many people on the webinars so you’ll very likely get personal questions answered.

All in all, some very good value here.

Mat Steinwede Drug Story

Mat Steinwede was previously involved with drugs from an early age and his criminal dealings almost landed him in jail, with multiple warrants out for his arrest. The story of how he turned his life around with real estate is quite remarkable.

Why was Mat able to transcend his troubled past? Personal development. Hands down that stuff work, and isn’t as “woo woo” as it were years ago.

So if you were to join Agent School, it isn’t just agent training. Mat actually spends the first few videos really focusing on getting your mindset right.

Because what’s stopping most agents from cracking the 6 figure range is their thinking more than anything. Especially now as Australia is about to go into a recession.

Building income online

We’re starting to move into troubling times. For that reason, you’ll want to have all the tools in your quiver that you can handle.

Mat Steinwede has exactly what you need if you want to become a well respected and high performing agent, but one that still has time-freedom and balance.

He’s really taken a holistic approach with his training, as opposed to others who promise the moon with 7 figure earnings and fail to deliver.

So for that reason, this Mat Steinwede review is quite positive given the value he brings for those who want to reach the 6 figure range.

Then again, I believe building online income trumps agent commissions any day.

The type of income that you can start small and grow over time in your spare time.

…And we’re talking about your own business here, not an MLM products scheme.

The type of business where you call the shots but are surrounded by an inspiring community of go-getters. In fact, I’ve found thousands of Australians moving towards this path, some of which are current real estate agents.

In summary

Would I recommend Mat Steinwede? Absolutely. Then again, he isn’t for everyone.

Some people would be happy to stay right where they are, and that’s okay.

Others have already figured out what they need to do in order to excel in their career. So while they respect Mat, they decline the opportunity to work closely.

Personally, I really like his calm and relaxing attitude which you’ll experience first-hand at the A Day With Mat events which are held in Australia and New Zealand.

If you’re sick of the “rah-rah million in a year yar…” style real estate agent training seminars, then Mat is one of the more congruent trainers out there.

I’d recommend that you get along to one of his events soon, or even open up to the potential of online income today.
