In today’s post I’ll be reviewing HelloProfit through my own perspectives as an Amazon FBA seller who uses a range of reporting / analytics sofware.
I have now been selling for 2+ years and continue to scale my 2 businesses. I understand that there’s multiple options available in the market, so will do my best to provide a conclusive evaluation.
HelloProfit evaluation
This software provides
As someone who pays for several subscriptions, this is definitely a blessing! I’m also over the complicated excel spreadsheets.
This company seems to have done an impressive amount of revenue over the last 5 years. Their own users report a profit margin of around 35% which is on-par with what I state in my blog here towards prospective / new Amazon sellers.
Upsides
The first upside here is the ability to have sales and profit data from different merchant accounts available in one simple dashboard. As someone with two seller accounts, this is a life-saver! Plus, I also have consultancy access to another account and no doubt I’ll be adding more to my quiver.
Secondly, this is very analytic based. If you like numbers, then this is for you. Even if you don’t, the UX is very straight forward and simple to understand. You’ll be able to get a high level view of your SKU level information and it’s certainly easier to read than Seller Central’s metrics.
Another good upside is the 21-day free trial. I mean – 3 weeks to work out if this SaaS solution is right for you and your FBA business! Given the immense amount of sellers who use this platform, paired with the very affordable pricing for HelloProfit, you’ll likely continue on with a subscription.
Downsides
Whilst I said the HelloProfit cost for sellers is affordable, it’s by no means the cheapest. You can certainly find cheaper out there, especially if you can do without some of the features here.
The quoted ‘live updates’ aren’t really that live. They’re almost
These aren’t really too big of an issue in my opinion. There are always going to be cheaper software, just like there will always be more expensive software which subsequently has more features.
Going forward
When compared to JungleScout, HelloProfit certainly is a good alternative. That said, I do feel JungleScout does offer a little bit more. It’s of course backed by a larger team, with support for the Australian marketplace.
JungleScout though is primarily product researching software whilst HelloProfit is for live sellers needing accurate metrics at a glance. For that reason alone, HelloProfit is an excellent alternative worth considering.
Whilst they’re geared for new and experience sellers, it seems experienced sellers who understand metrics and the bottom-line will find the most value here. Especially for those who run multiple seller accounts. You’ll only need to have one HelloProfit subscription.
HelloProfit Review: Final verdict
I would recommend HelloProfit to my users here, but perhaps at the later stages of your journey. Stick with JungleScout, Zonguru or whichever software you choose for now. Consider upgrading once you’ve got
