FBA Winners Course Review: Does Tamara still bring her A-Game?

So you’re looking at the FBA Winners Amazon Course created by Tamara Tee on YouTube but you’re not entirely sure. After all, there are many courses available.

Selling on Amazon isn’t as easy as it used to be. I mean – there is plenty of meat still left there on the bone, but it’s going to require more work and capital.

Luckily there are some content creators who share so much for free on YouTube. I mean – you’d really want to buy their course and get started today.

When there are free FBA courses available, some people aren’t sure if they should spend the extra for a paid training course from a YouTuber.

In this review of FBA Winners, I’ll look at Tamara’s Amazon Course in detail. More importantly, if you should get started with her program today.

My opinion on Tamara Tee

Just like you, I’ve been watching Tamara on YouTube these last 8 or so months.

Now I’ve already been selling on Amazon since mid-2017 but I like learning more.

That’s the thing about Amazon FBA. You really need to keep learning.

I mean – you must take an Amazon course to learn the ropes initially.

Afterwards, you then need to take action and continue increasing your skills.

There are very few YouTubers that I follow. Most of them just aren’t engaging.

More importantly, they don’t sell on FBA as much as they claim.

You know, like the famous K_v_n D_v_d for instance…😉

I just feel that I can relate more to Tamara than most others.

In fact, I was able to quit my job thanks to selling on Amazon.

More importantly, I like the truth bombs that she shares. Like this one:

One of her best videos. The truth is: Amazon is easy for those who work hard. THat’s it!

And she seriously shares a lot of free content. More than 90% of others.

So you really get a feel for her as a communicator and teacher.

You know like her teaching methodology and strategy.

Plus the production quality of her videos and audio.

Often the next thing you’d want to do is join her course.

So let’s get started with that one now.

FBA Winners Course

Opening this course up I saw some really seriously good content initially.

Like it’s even better than what you’ll find on her YouTube channel. 😍

Pretty well the full blueprint on how to start selling on Amazon FBA.

When you get inside, you’ll see exactly what I mean here. It’s worth it.

It’s about 15 modules long. You just follow it along in order.

Going through the course content a few days ago

Let’s go a little deeper with the modules here.

Module 1

There is a short intro video before this one. But anyway she covers how to get the backend of things going.

  • How to open up your Amazon Seller Central account
  • Starts to make you think of a brand name and trading entity
  • Opening a foreign exchange account if you’re outside the US
  • The basics of using Alibaba for beginners (best part of this module)

Pretty basic but also a bit technical too. I like that she has these elements upfront.

Module 2

Here she talks more about engaging with suppliers. Her main gig is using Alibaba like many of the YouTubers out there. There are some secrets that she shares on how to get lower MOQs from suppliers. I don’t want to share them here but I learned a bit here.

Module 3

We’re right into the product research side of things here. It’s actually a pretty extensive module of around 3 hours long. I don’t recommend binge-watching this part of FBA Winners as it’s where the best content really is.

If you have distractions like kids, consider splitting this module across several days. You might feel a little overwhelmed. It’s not just Tamara’s course here and she’s done her best to convey her knowledge as easy as possible.

Beginners are just often a little overwhelmed with these concepts. After you’ve started making some progress with product research, then it all starts to sink in.

Definitely the best part of the course by far and worth the $997 that you pay.

Module 4

This module is much shorter. It only goes for like an hour or so but it’s an important one. Don’t skip it! Here Tamara talks about avoiding infringing on other people’s trademarks and patents. I think she had this experience herself in the early days if I recall correctly.

Module 5

If you thought the last module was short, then this one is even shorter… 😅

But actually, it doesn’t need to be any longer. It’s a bit technical actually regarding UPC codes (aka barcodes) that need to be stuck on to your products by your Chinese suppliers.

Module 6

Ok, I’ll admit that I was a bit bored in this module. It’s all on shipping and logistics. It really doesn’t matter who presents this stuff as it’s often a foreign concept to most beginners. Like I’ve gone through this stuff with other FBA courses so I know the content already.

You don’t really need to master this stuff at all. While other modules you might want to go through a few times, the logistics of getting your products to Amazon is one that you only need to watch once only.

Module 7

It’s a little odd that this module is later in the series. It should really be merged with the product research part (Module 3) because it’s all about calculating your profit margins.

That said, Tamara does go into some great details here so you can maximize your profits. Her aim is always 20% after ad-spend which is great. After all, you want your product to actually bank some coin, not just break-even.

Module 8

Another super-short module and one that could be merged later in the series. It’s probably something you can skip actually until you’re live on Amazon.

Tamara talks in this module about hiring virtual assistants. Often you don’t need these until your business has a few products and you’re scaling up.

Module 9

OK – I really liked this one. It’s about how to build your product listing. You can see that Tamara turns into quite the analytical person in this part of the training series.

She talks about:

  • Search engine optimization for Amazon product listings
  • How to price your products so they actually sell
  • Creating epic product photography without spending a fortune

This part of the training is fun and engaging. Like you can tell she genuinely sells on Amazon too through her knowledge in this module.

Module 10

A big part of selling on Amazon is the product reviews because these can help you obtain more future sales. Like you probably knew that already, but how do you get reviews without breaking Terms of Service? Tamara gives us a very white-hat approach here.

I’ve noticed that she also updated this module a few times since it was initially created. It’s great that she’s making sure her course content isn’t going out of date since Amazon is often moving the needle here.

Module 11

When you’re starting on Amazon, a big problem is the product launch. Like you’re the new kid on the block and no one really knows you. Your product could sit on page 807 if you don’t launch it properly. This is why you need a course like Tamara’s.

Again she gets a bit analytical here on how to ensure your product is found both organically and also through discount campaigns. This way you can recoup your initial investment as soon as possible.

Module 12

The thing about watching YouTubers and their free content are that they rarely show anything about PPC. This is yet another reason why you need to buy a course.

…and man, I was blown away by the knowledge that Tamara has in this field. Again, she’s quite the analytical type when it comes to running effective advertising campaigns. This way you don’t waste money on ad-spend which doesn’t convert into sales.

Module 13

The thing about Amazon is that it used to be the wild wild west. Hijackers were commonplace. As she launcher FBA Winners a while ago, she talks in this module how to defend yourself against these negative people who leave bad reviews about your product.

Today it’s a lot easier than it used to be on Amazon for 3rd party sellers like ourselves. Brand Registry has made it a lot safer so you can protect your intellectual property and brand.

Module 14

Once you’ve got a taste of selling on Amazon, you’ll want more of it. Instead of launching more products, if you’re tight on capital then you’ll want to sustain the growth of your 1st product.

So in this module, Tamara talks more about getting yourself up to the top of the rankings organically. This is important so you can stop paying for ad-spend and PPC which is becoming more expensive every day.

My favorite part is where she talks about how to liquidate your product. This way you can break even if you launched a product which isn’t selling without losing money.

Module 15

I’ve talked a few times before that Tamara is certainly the analytical type in FBA Winners and this is no exception. This one is about taxation and expense accounting. I noticed in her training that she chooses to use A2X while I use Xero for both my FBA brands (2 separate accounts). Meh..either way, it works. 😃

Module 16

This is the last module in her series. It’s all about business scalability.

Tamara covers in detail about:

  • Creating an audience that converts into sales
  • Using coupons to launch a product successfully
  • Running PPC ads on Facebook into a sales funnel
  • Most importantly – creating a raving fan base

I wouldn’t really recommend watching this module until the very end. Like obviously it’s at the end of the course but you don’t need to watch it until you’ve got at least 1 product live on Amazon which will take a few weeks to a few months from today.

Summarized

I’ve gone through a lot of Amazon courses and I really like the FBA Winners program that Tamara Tee has created. It’s clear that she’s got more knowledge inside the course than what she shares on YouTube!

The video lighting and quality and audio is excellent. I just wish it was filmed in a studio-setting instead of being done at home. Like when you’re paying up for the training, most people want a bit more. Or maybe that’s just me… 😅

(1st world problems really. This is a great course)

It’s about 15 hours of content. She says it’s about 12 hours but she’s actually added more content in recent weeks to grow it bigger. Most other courses are like 30 or 40 hours worth of content for the same price (or sometimes less) but I feel she gets right to the point in her lessons without repeating things over and over again.

In addition to the course, you’ll get:

  1. Access to the Facebook group to network with other students
  2. A group phone call each week with other students and Tamara
  3. Access to her own resources like sourcing agents and inspection companies

The main thing lacking is conferences and network opportunities. Like you’ll have to be motivated to do this entirely online by yourself with support from Tamara and her excellent group.

Again, merely a 1st world problem. 😆 It’s clear that there are many success stories with the FBA Winners program despite the lack of events for students to attend.

Free FBA course alternative

I really do like Tamara Tee’s Amazon course. FBA Winners is the perfect course for most people actually.

The thing is, not everyone has the starting capital needed for any training course.

Like it’s hard to build a business with a job. The bills keep mounting up.

So you want to get started selling on Amazon, but it’s a bit hard.

Because the cost of these training courses is quite significant.

Then need some software too so you can check out sales velocity.

That’s even before placing an order with Chinese suppliers.

(In other words, you really need some capital behind you)

FBA Winners Tamara Tee
Selling on Amazon FBA requires some capital and innovation

Now here’s the thing: This Amazon course stuff is a big business today.

You probably knew that already. People are making a fortune on courses.

Like up to $100k/month at times. It’s totally crazy, right?!

But I know a guy. He’s done 8-figure selling on Amazon FBA.

You know with figures like that, you don’t need to sell a course.

And the funny part is that he has one. He doesn’t even advertise it either.

Yet thousands of people have bought it. It’s $997 USD right now.

So that’s not exactly anything special until you realize what he’s done.

That is…he woke up a little while ago and announced something incredible.

“I’m going to make my entire course FREE for the world. It’s my gift”

Yes – his entire Amazon course. The complete A to Z process.

Like what products to pick, how to ship and how to sell those.

He didn’t want to be another course creator like the rest.

After all, he’s been selling on Amazon for 20+ years now.

There are thousands on the inside. 😃

Final Verdict on FBA Winners

I’m quite impressed by the course content that Tamara Tee has brought to the world.

Like it’s evident that she’s not just someone who started yesterday. She’s been at this for quite a while.

Not only that, but some of her students have seriously great results.

Which is why FBA Winners has such great reviews. Her training works.

So I would certainly recommend Tamara’s course. She brings her A-Game!

And at the same time, not everyone can afford the cost of the training.

So the free alternative has better pricing for those with minimal capital.

And remember, this Amazon gig takes work and capital.

You won’t see the results fast. It takes a lot of patience.

But if you stick to the journey, the rewards can come. ✌️

  1. Hi Joshua, thank you for this review. i have been following Tamara on youtube for a long time too. I think she is great and puts out valuable content.

There is only one thing you said that doesn’t quite sound right and I want to mention it. Maybe it’s not important but I was a little bit confused when you said Tamara is a single parent? As far as I know and from what she has said about her personal life she has no kids, she is not even married yet. Her wedding is in June this year which she mentioned few times in some of her videos.

I don’t know from where you got that she is a single parent or has kids at all but I think you made a mistake on that part.

Anyways, a great review, keep them coming.

    Cheers

    • Thanks, Ana! I’ve removed that part because I’ve got definitely her mixed up with another person. 🙂 (One of the side effects with auditing the many various Amazon courses is that you do lose track of everything).

    • Hi Nazanin, I was quoted $5000 for the course. I understood that others paid $2000 from various sources, including Tamara herself through an online video. I asked the representative why the course price had jumped 150%. He simply did not respond to my question.

It seems that they price the course based on what you think you can pay. I did not pursue the course because the customer service made me feel not valued as a customer. If they treat me like this now, how will they treat me after I have paid?

Just curious – did you pursue the course?

  2. Thank you Joshua, if these so called millioniers have made it, why are they very greedy with course price. They are just making money off their helpless victims.

    • The course prices are generally about right for the market. I think they put the price up to sell to fewer people as it’s much easier to manage that way.

If I had a course, I’d rather have 100 students at $1,000 rather than 1,000 students at $100. Those with $1,000 would take the journey more seriously.

Go grab a Helium10 subscription which comes with Freedom Ticket if money for a course is an issue. 🙂 YouTube and Skillshare are also fantastic sources.

      • Joshua,

What are your intentions of promoting tamara tee? She is not even an active seller on amazon!!! her trademark conquer baby bath toys are long gone from amazon and she is now making money from scamming poor people! we are currently 200 people trying to take her and her junk course to court! she will lose it all soon!

  3. I had a call with Charles from Tamara’s team. I didn’t feel valued or respected. There was a lot of pressure in the voice, demands to give response immediately, and other things. It made me feel bad, and I don’t want to work with these people after experiencing it.
The price they asked was 5000 usd, but their communication style kills any desire to work with them.

    • you are not the only victim. i am connected to other 200 people that lost tens of thousands following her junk course. she is not an active seller on amazon and her trademark conquer baby bath toys are long gone from amazon!

  4. I feel that I have also fallen victim to their fast talking pressure tactics in sakes and recruitment. I was promised a on on one coaching, but all I got was a “dead Face book group.” Apparently this is all I am getting for the nearly 8K of supposed Life Time Membership they’ve sold me. What is her refund policy within a 90 day period?

    Reply
    • She has no refund policy. She’s a straight up fraudster like Kevin David who recently got shut down by the FTC for the same tactics. Report Tamara Tee to the FTC and get word of mouth to other victims to do the same. She’s flashing her “luxury lifestyle” on Instagram constantly with money she stolen from hardworking people. I’m shocked that there are websites promoting her business.
