This ultimate Amazeowl review is going to answer some deep questions, by a real FBA seller. I’ll give a beginners overview using the chrome extension.
Since you’ll need a piece of affordable software in order to perform research, it’s good to see what’s in the marketplace. There are of course some really good options for beginners, but also, some not-so-good options as well.
Amazeowl on the surface looks good. After all, its cost is significantly cheaper than most other competitors, though has only basic functions.
When compared to JungleScout, Amazeowl certainly wins with the much cheaper price. Plus, an Amazeowl promo code reduces that price even less. Best of all – there is a 10-day free trial!
But is it worth paying less? Are you still getting the same thing? Let’s find out.
AmazeOwl insights
I decided to get inside Amazeowl for this review. After all, it’s hard to really articulate what something is unless a real Amazon seller (and self-proclaimed product and keyword research junkie) gets in on the inside.
Now upon signing up, I got this screen:
Horray! I’m in. Now the fun stuff begins. 😃
But actually, it turns out that Amazeowl has its own desktop app. This is unlike JungleScout which runs through Chrome.
Just a few minutes later and I had this installed.
Then it’s time to start this this baby up!
One of the best things that I noticed are the various marketplaces available for Amazon product research.
Unfortunately, Canada, Franch, Italy, India and Australia are in beta mode with Amazeowl. The United States and UK marketplaces are the most supported and beginners should start there anyway, regardless of which country they reside.
Just like JungleScout, you can track products and shortlist potential products. Those are very basic functions.
What excites me is that you can use their product database.
Starting with product research
Right! Let’s jump into the fun part now.
You might not be able to see my numbers properly, so here’s a close-up version:
In my experience, there is no hard and fixed rule when it comes to finding profitable products to sell on Amazon FBA. Everyone has their own formula. This one generally works well for me.
That’s a good outcome actually. Looking through the product results has given me some new ideas that I hadn’t thought about previously.
It would take me all day to relay all those results. It’s easier and faster to have a play around yourself. Product examples I found were a hookless shower curtain, metal bathroom storage tray, medal holders and kids’ gumboots. As I say, you’ll learn plenty through doing this FBA product research yourself.
One thing that I really like about Amazeowl is the tutorials and training. You’re not left on your own to figure out things. Ryan does offer coaching services for beginner Amazon sellers at a reasonable price, but you’re not pushed to join.
Using the Chrome Extension
Just like a bunch of other Amazon seller software tools, this does have a Chrome Extension available from the web store.
So naturally, I decided to try it out…
I installed this which took merely 2 minutes.
Not only that, but you can bring up their market analysis tool.
As is quite evident below, workplace safety poster would NOT be a good product to sell on Amazon FBA. 🙂
Given that I’ve done hundreds of hours of in-depth product research, I knew already on the surface that this wouldn’t be a hot product. But I wanted to show you guys how exactly this software works, and to tell how accurate my perceptions are. 😅
I look forward to using the Chrome extension more. As you might be able to tell in the screenshot above, I also have Helium10, JungleScout and ZonGuru installed right alongside AmazeOwl. In the future I will be doing a full comparison report.
AmazeOwl Pricing
One of the biggest advantages of using this software is the cost which is significantly less when compared to JungleScout.
You can choose from any of the following:
Feature | Starter | Growth | Established |
Niches to track | 1 | 10 | 300 |
Keywords it will monitor | 3 | 10 | 50 |
Automatic Updates (1k niches) | YES | YES | YES |
Top keyword research | 2 | 10 | 10 |
AmazeOwl Academy discount | 0% | 10% | 30% |
Software speed | Slow | Medium | Fast |
Customer support | None | Some | Full |
Price annually | FREE | $155.88 | $239.88 |
Price monthly | FREE | $19.99 | $29.95 |
The best part is that they provide a free 10 day trial. JungleScout doesn’t provide a trial which is frustrating for beginners on a limited budget.
I mean, you can literally install AmazeOwl and be up and running within a few moments. That includes the Chrome extension. I really do praise this software which is super affordable.
As I noted earlier, not all marketplaces are properly supported with this software tool. The main focus is on the United States and United Kingdom, which is where the greater sales volume is always found.
Comparison to JungleScout
It’s really hard to accurately compare AmazeOwl to JungleScout.
See – you’re comparing a Toyota to a Ferrari.
I believe that both offer excellent value for money. These are just tools.
It’s you, more than the software, that is going to dictate the results you attain.
AmazeOwl
This is a tool for those who are total beginners on a minimum budget. If you can’t afford much and want to learn some keys to effective Amazon product research, then this is where you start. Their free trial will help you learn the basics
JungleScout
If you’re serious about building to a full-time income and beyond, then JungleScout is the way to go. It’s not cheap, doesn’t offer a free trial nor does it have a discount. But a lot of professionals use JungleScout or Helium10.
Verdict
AmazeOwl vs JungleScout: Who’s the best?
JungleScout is worth the higher price if you’re committed to building a successful business on Amazon. AmazeOwl appeals to those with very limited starting budgets. It’s really hard to build a successful business (and therefore, a consistent income) if you’ve got limited capital.
So neither is ‘better’, as they are both simply offering great value for money. Start small if you’re on a limited budget.
An alternative
Dropshipping or affiliate marketing may be a better alternative for
My #1 recommended alternative with a FREE training webinar has thousands of students who have started with limited money. It has students from all over the world. I have a lot of respect and trust within this training community.
In summary
AmazeOwl costs less than $30 per month for their professional plan. The best part is that you can get access to limited functionality for free, which allows access for the next 10 days.
They provide excellent tutorials for people like you who want to
Lastly, this Amazon selling journey isn’t easy. Don’t buy the ‘rich guru dream’ that is being sold via most courses and YouTube videos. This is going to take a lot of work, sacrifice, frustration, setbacks, capital and work ethic.
No one gets rich here overnight. But if you’re willing to stick around, the small raindrops might turn into a torrential downpour.
AmazeOwl is great software based on my live experiences, as one of the numerous cheaper Amazon search tools available.
Thanks for another informative review. As I started reading it I was thinking “wouldn’t it be great if you could do a comparison between a few of them” and then I read later you are working towards doing just that! That will be extremely helpful to so many of us, can’t wait!
Thanks Andrew! 🙂 Yes, I am certainly working on more THIS vs THAT software comparisons. They just take a lot of time and energy, with a lot of my focus right now on maximizing Q4 sales.
Perfectly understandable, Q4 sales comes first. Perhaps in the new year when it’s all settled down.
